At Dale Hall, we aim to inspire creativity to enable children to have a life long love of music. We focus on developing the skills, knowledge and understanding that children need in order to become confident performers, composers and listeners.
We encourage children to develop music skills of singing, playing tuned and untuned instruments as well as listening and responding to music. We believe that being creative contributes to the overall well-being and happiness of our children so we aim to include musical elements in many areas of our curriculum, such as responding to music in Art lessons or a song learnt in a Geography lesson.
It is important to us to ensure the children at Dale Hall understand the value and importance of music in the wider community too, and are able to use their musical skills and experiences to enjoy and involve themselves in music, in a variety of different contexts.
