Our School Day

Our school day begins at different times depending on where your child is based.

EYFS

The small KS1 gate and the gate at Queensdale is opened at 8.30am for parents and children. EYFS school day begins at 8.55-3.00 The children wait outside their classroom until the doors open at 8.45 and registration begins.

Years 1 and 2:  8.45-3.05

KS2

The gates to the KS2 playground open at 8.35. A member of staff is always on duty alongside our family liaison officer and a member of SLT. We like to greet every child as they begin their school day with a smile and a welcome. The school day begins when the whistle is blown at 8.45. The children free flow in to school, without lining up and make their way to the classroom where the teacher and teaching assistant will be waiting. Our school day finishes at 3.15, the children line up and walk out to the key stage 2 playground where parents/carers etc can collect.
All of our children begin school at 8.40 or 8.45 and finish at 3.10 or 3.15. This gives a total of 32.5 hours per week which meets government guidance.

Always pleased to see you...

 Happy to welcome you...
