In September of each year there is a Parents' Information Meeting. This is an opportunity for parents to meet their child's new teacher and hear about the work the children will be doing as well as a chance for the teacher to pass on any information to parents.
Our topic for Spring is:
We have been working hard in English by looking at Mouse, Snake, Bird, Wolf by David Almond which is an exciting story based around a different world. In Art, we have been creating our own creatures based around the story.
We are going all zen in P.E, producing some fantastic Yoga routines based around the wind and weather. Dodgeball is also a key part of our P.E.
As part of our Roman topic, Year 3 visited the famous Colchester Castle. The day involved looking around the museum and the underground dungeons. We also had a go at making a Roman Villa.
"My favourite part was the dungeons" - Emil, Owls
"I'd recommend Colchester Castle because it was so much fun" - Honey, Owls
"Did you know that Boudicca was a Celt who destroyed Colchester?" Josh- Owls
Unfortunately, Mr Spalding and Mrs Hines weren't able to take any photos of the day. Fortunately, Rebecca and Clair were on hand to save the day!
